Annual Farmers Christmas Campaign

The Annual Farmers Christmas Campaign is back for its 11th year, bringing a much-needed boost to hospices across the country. This national campaign, which has raised close to $8 million in total, is a vital lifeline for local hospice services, supporting the comfort, dignity, and specialised care that hospices provide. For our Taupō community, last year’s campaign raised nearly $12,000 through the generosity of those visiting the local Farmers store. This contribution has enabled us to continue our mission of providing compassionate support and care for our patients and their families.

One of the unique aspects of the Farmers campaign is that 100% of the donations raised through each store’s bauble sales and over the counter donations stays within that community.

This year’s bauble is designed with a snowflake theme, symbolising the individuality and beauty within each snowflake, just as each person’s journey and care needs are unique. Though a blanket of snow may appear uniform from a distance, each snowflake has its distinct shape and pattern, just as each individual’s journey is met with personalised, unique care from Hospice. This snowflake bauble represents the invaluable support that community members give to make that personalised care possible, a gift that truly makes a difference.

Don’t forget to pop in and write your special message to your loved one and hang it on the Tree of Remembrance in store.
