National Volunteers Week - Thank you
Next week is National Volunteers’ week, a week to celebrate all things volunteering and to honour the collective energies and mana of all volunteers in Aotearoa.
At LTH we have 300 volunteers who give over 500 hours per week, whether that’s here at the hospice, out in the community, or in our charity shops.
It is the volunteers who “make hospice happen” every day, and complete selfless acts of kindness in so many ways to help and support our patients on their end-of-life journey and their whanau at this sad time.
Driving our van, delivering equipment, transporting patients, cooking meals, baking, bereavement support, biography writing, gardening, shopping, working in the shops and so much more.
The dedication shown each week is extraordinary and greatly appreciated. We could not support our patients and their loved ones in the way we do without our fabulous volunteers.
We have volunteer roles that will suit everyone, whether you’re into charity shopping, cheering people on, driving, or you’re a whiz in the garden or anything else!
Why not join our volunteer team here at Lake Taupo Hospice and help us make every moment matter.
